GREENSBORO – Willie Anthony Clapp, 60, passed away March 31, 2023.

A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 1 p.m. at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, Greensboro, NC. The family visitation and viewing will begin at 12:30 p.m. Reverend Amos L. Quick, III will deliver the words of comfort.

Public viewing will begin on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 12 until 5 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.

He was born on November 20, 1962 to Willie Nathaniel Clapp and Alpharetta Saunders Clapp.

Anthony was educated in the local public schools and graduated from James B. Dudley High School class of 1981.

He loved football and was a diehard Pittsburg Steelers fan.

Survivors include his son, Jordan Smith; mother, Alpharetta Clapp; sister, Anita Clapp Mazyck (Arnold “Zeke”); aunt, Brenda Martin; uncle, Larry Martin; special siblings, Kimberly Haith, Adrienne Adams, Angelo Haigh and Terry Haith; 4 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Kishaun Burkes.
