GREENSBORO – Willie Washington, 60, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021.

He was born in Newark, NJ on January 2, 1961 to Willie Washington and Lugenia Bacon Washington.

He was employed in the Food Service Department at North Carolina A&T State University.

He was of the Islamic faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; spouse, Prudence Johnson Washington; son, Charles Evans.

Survivors include son, Khalil Tucker; daughters, Khaliyah Washington, Yvette Evans, Shawnequa Johnson; brother, Reggie Washington; sister, Katrina Washington; 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends.

Public viewing will begin on Friday from 1 until 5 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.

A celebration of life service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021 at New Light Missionary Baptist Church.  The family visitation and viewing will begin 30 minutes prior to the service.
