GREENSBORO - Will Wilkins Mosley, Sr.

A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, Greensboro, NC. The family visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Reverend Dr. Cardes H. Brown, Jr. will deliver the words of comfort.

Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Cemetery.

Public viewing will begin on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 12 until 6 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home & Cremations, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC. You may livestream the service via https://youtube.com/@SerenityFuneralHomeLive

On Wednesday, August 16, 2023, God welcomed his son, Will Wilkins Mosely home. God knew he was ready to be in his kingdom. It broke our hearts to let him go, but we know he did not go alone.

Will Wilkins Mosely was born on December 2, 1938, to the late John Landrum Mosely and Albanie Moore Mosely, in Rutherford County, North Carolina.
Will was educated in the Rutherford County school district and later relocated to Greensboro, North Carolina. He was employed for the City of Greensboro for many years and worked in the Sewer Department until retirement.

In 1959, he married the former Betty Jean Hinton Mosely. He was a devoted husband and father.
Will was an avid card player and in his spare time, he loved playing cards, chewing tobacco and spending time visiting his family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by his son, Kelvin “Bucky” Mosely; daughters, Bonnie & Donna Mosely; brothers, John Melvin Mosely and Bob Henry Mosely.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving sons, Will “Toot” Mosely, Jr., Timothy “Timmy” Mosely, and John Mosely; daughters, Contance “Jeannie” Mosely (Eric), Bettye “Lil Bettye” Williamson, Tina Mosely and Wanda “Wannabug” King (David, sisters, Mary Butler (Johnny), of Long Island, New York, Lila Sue Miller, of Shelby, North Carolina, Mattie Wilson, of Dallas, North Carolina, Carolyn McEntire of Forest City, north Carolina, Mary Lois Martin, of Spindale, North Carolina; brothers, Albert Mosely, of Jamaica, New York, Walter Mosely (Alice), of Avondale, North Carolina and Frankie Brown of Charlotte, North Carolina, thirty grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson, life-long friend, Eugene Teague and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
