Affectionately known as “Tim” was born on June 30, 1975 to Curtis McClain and Thelma Harris.  Tim graduated from James B. Dudley High School and furthered his education at Guilford College.  He was a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

He then began his lifelong journey of service and giving back to the community he loved.  He was known as “Coach Tim” and his undying dedication to the youth will be a continuous legacy to the lives he inspired.

Tim as an amazing servant and mentor to many.  He coached football, AAU Basketball and the Police Athletic League (PAL).  He was the Senior Vice President of the Legacy Trading Academy.  He was a crucial part of establishing this institution where he continued to b a valued member.  He demonstrated professionalism, wisdom, patience and love with all of his community projects.  He was heavily involved with Stop the Violence Project.  He also diligently worked with the homeless population.  Tim touched everyone he met, and his spirit of integrity and love reflected in everything he did.  Tim was always ready to serve others.  He was the first person in and the last person out of any event, big or small.  Everyone knew he was the one to count on.  He inspired many to move forward and follow their dreams and aspirations.  He loves spending time with family, especially his children.  They were the light of his life.  We are all better because of Tim.  We are forever grateful for his demonstration of love through service.  He was the epitome of benevolent.  He did not know the meaning of “no”.  If you asked him for assistance, he was there for you.  He was a devoted and helpful servant of God his entire life.  A life well lived through the testament and all of the lives that he touched.  He has left a permanent footprint on us all, and for that we are filled with joy.

Tim is survived by his wife, Christal Vincent; sons, Nigel Vincent and Nicholas Vincent; daughter, Naomi Vincent; mother, Thelma Harris; mother of his children, Muriel Holt; stepchildren, Hawn Smith and Ashley Thomas; brother, Derrick Bartell; a host of family and friends.
