Obituary
Today we celebrate the life and legacy of Toni Rickelle Totton Lamberth, who
departed this earthly life to be with the Lord on March 25, 2026. Her life was a
testament to perseverance, faith, and unwavering love for her family.
Toni was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Raymond Daniel Totton and
Nannie Lucinda Juanita Troxler Totton.
A native of Sedalia, North Carolina, Toni was raised with deep love and strong
values in her family and the close-knit community she called home. She attended
Sedalia Public School for her early education and later graduated from Notre Dame
High School in Greensboro. She continued her education at Winston-Salem State
University, where during her sophomore year she began a new chapter of life,
welcoming her first child. She later became the proud mother of two sons.
Though life presented challenges, Toni’s strength and determination never
wavered. As a devoted single mother, she balanced work and family while
continuing to pursue her goals. She worked in banking while completing her
degree in Accounting at North Carolina A&T State University in 1982.
Toni dedicated many years of service to North Carolina A&T State University,
where she contributed her talents across multiple departments. After years of
faithful service, she embraced retirement, focusing more deeply on herself, her
family, her faith and spiritual journey.
A woman of deep faith, Toni joined Bethany Church at an early age.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving sons, Morris Kevin Lamberth and Ian
Koby Lamberth (Melanie); her treasured grandchildren, Bailey Elise Lamberth, Ian
Xavier Lamberth, and Iandigo Kai Lamberth; her dear and loving sisters, Cheryl
Denise Totton and Roslyn “Cookie” Crosby; along with a host of extended family
and friends.
Toni’s legacy is one of strength, faith, and unconditional love.
