GREENSBORO – Terri A. Cheek, 59, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021 at her residence.
She was born in Guilford County, NC on August 8, 1962 to Vaughn Echols and Minerva Ann Cheek Barnhardt.
For many years she owned and operated Clean As Bell cleaning service. She was loved music and was very gifted in interior design.
She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church of Greensboro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Raymond Cheek, Randy Cheek, Steven Cheek and Gregory Barnhardt.
Survivors include loving children, Takia Hansley (Marlow), Terrence Cheek (Adelia), Tonya Conyers, Walter Conyers, Tiffany Cheek, Tonea Conyers and Tevin Pegues; fiancé, Michael Haith; siblings, Deborah Williamson, John Cheek, Rev. Tina Pegues (Rev. Fredrick); Michael Cheek, Ronald Barnhardt and Reginald Barnhardt; adorable grandchildren, Gabrielle Cheek, Egypt Cheek, Kyron Conyers, Jordan Hansley, Marlow Hansley Jr., Elijah Cheek, Journee Conyers and Rufus “RJ” Barnette Jr.; aunt, Dorothy C. Fuller; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.
Public viewing will begin on Thursday from 12 until 7 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. from the Genesis Baptist Church, 2812 E. Bessemer Avenue, Greensboro, NC. The family visitation will begin at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow in Proximity Mills Cemetery.
