Sarita (Figueroa) Kirkland

GREENSBORO - With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Sarita Figueroa Kirkland, a mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Born in Brooklyn N.Y, Sarita earned her high school diploma before pursuing a career in banking.  She obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant designation from Brooklyn Technical College and pivoted to a career in caregiving. 

Sarita’s life was defined by boundless kindness, an outgoing spirit, and an infectious laugh. She welcomed everyone she met with warmth, making you feel like you’d known her forever. She loved music and would reminisce on the times her father taught her to dance to Spanish music.  Gatherings were her favorite stage, where she shared jokes and laughter.

After a brave and courageous battle, Sarita departed this world as a beacon of strength and grace. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Gumercindo and Anna Figueroa, whom she cherished deeply. Left to honor her memory are:  
- **Children:** Leroy Kirkland and Anjellica Figueroa  
- **Grandchildren:** Elijah, Leon, Austin and Zachery.  
- **Siblings:** Eight brothers and sisters, each holding a special place in her heart. 

A cherished lifetime partner Elijah Clark JR.

Though she is gone from our sight, Sarita’s generous heart and infectious laughter will live on in every life she touched. May her memory be the comfort that carries us forward.
