Ronald Vines

GREENSBORO – Ronald Vines, 76, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at his residence.

Public viewing will begin on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 12 until 6 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 12 noon from the New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, Greensboro, NC.  The family visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m.  Pastor, Reverend Dr. Cardes H. Brown, Jr. Will deliver the words of comfort.

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

He was born in Edgecombe County on January 3, 1945 to Theodore Roosevelt Vines and Marta Tillery Vines.

He received his Bachelor’s degree from North Carolina A&T State University and later worked as an Assistant Housing Director.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Donald Vines (twin brother); Theodore Vines, Jr., Charles Douglas Vines; Ruby Harrell, Snowdy Pope and Willie Marble Phillips.

Survivors include spouse, Theresa Vines; son, Dexter Vines; sister, Julia Vines; 4 grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends.
