Rochelle Stansbury Obituary

GREENSBORO - With sorrowful hearts, we mourn the passing of Rochelle Beth Stansbury, affectionately known as Shelly, who left us on October 31, 2024, at the age of 56. Born on March 4, 1968, in Queens, New York, Shelly touched countless lives with her vibrant spirit and unwavering devotion to those she cherished. Residing in Greensboro, North Carolina, at the time of her passing, she leaves behind a legacy marked by warmth, humor, and compassion.

Shelly will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and steadfast friend. Her passion for the well-being of animals defined her career as she worked for many years in veterinary clinics. Her compassionate nature and dedication to animal care won her admiration and respect from colleagues and clients alike. Shelly's commitment to her profession reflected her innate kindness and empathy.

Those who had the pleasure of knowing Shelly will never forget her cheerful disposition and playful spirit. Her friendly demeanor was complemented by a unique sense of humor, filled with charming quirks that brought smiles and laughter to those around her. Whether spending time with her sisters, Lisa and Annette, half-brother and sister, Ross and Andrea, and brother-in-laws John and Jon; catching up with her nieces and nephews, Kris, Andrew, Aaron, Devon, JayJay, Brooke and Ryan; or sharing special moments with her son, Kenny, and granddaughter, Cassidy, Shelly's love was an enduring force that transcended the everyday.

Her grandparents, Benjamin and Florence, and her parents, Mitchell, and Susan, who have since passed, were integral parts of her life, whose memories she revered and cherished throughout her days. As we bid farewell to Shelly, we take comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with loved ones lost but not forgotten.

In tribute to Shelly's life, the family requests that donations be made to the Duke Cancer Institute, Beacon House Hospice in Greensboro, NC, or local pet shelters in her name, continuing her legacy of compassion and support for those in need. Shelly’s loving nature and joyful spirit will forever warm our hearts and guide us forward.
