Pamela Laverne Whack

GREENSBORO - Pamela LaVerne Allen Whack was born February 6, 1963, to Irene Jeffers Allen Wilson and the late Hubert Thomas Allen, Jr. She was called to her heavenly home on July 8, 2023.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 12 p.m. in the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.

Pamela was employed as a housekeeper for many years, she also worked as an in-home caretaker. In her spare time, she thoroughly enjoyed crocheting. She often made items that she would give away to her family and friends. Pamela was a jokester and was known for telling jokes that would have you laughing for hours. Her smile was infectious, and she often smiled when she wasn’t feeling her best. If you knew Pamela, then you knew she had a love for Double Mint gum and would ask you to bring her a pack if you were coming to visit.
Pamela was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Whack.

We mourn the loss of a devoted mother, beloved daughter, cherished sister, dear friend, and a woman of God. We celebrate the fact that God allowed us to cross paths with such a remarkable woman. Her impact on those that loved her will remain evident in the days to come.

Those left to cherish her memories are her mother, Evangelist Irene Jeffers Allen Wilson, children; Charles Whack, Jr., Rickie Edward Whack, and Crystal Whack, brothers, Herbert Thomas Allen, Jr. (Shirelle), David Lee Allen (Chandra), Wendell Wilson (Brittany), Tyrone Allen (Edith) of Capitol Height, Maryland; sisters, Linda Allen Poole (Darryl), and Angela Porter (Daniel), and a host of family and friends.
