GREENSBORO – Ola Mae “Sarah” Izzard, 73, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022 at her residence.

Public viewing will begin on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 12 until 6 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 2 p.m. at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road. The family visitation and viewing will begin at 1 p.m. Reverend Dr. Cardes H. Brown, Jr. will deliver the words of comfort.

Interment will be held in Guilford Memorial Park.

She was born in Williamsburg, SC on August 1, 1948 to Jacob Lewis Tisdale and Lula Emma Wilson Tisdale.

For many years, she worked as Supervisor of Housekeeping at the Sheraton Hotel.

Survivors include husband, William Izzard; daughters, Evette Izzard-Bush and Demetria LaJoy Izzard; son, Rall Izzard; brothers, Joe Tisdale, Calvin Tisdale and Leran Tisdale; sisters, Louthenia McBride, Rebecca Tisdale (Sam), Alberta Tisdale (Hayward), Shirley Gamble and Ruthine Leverne-McCain (Malcolm); 5 grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends.
