Michael Conner Corley Obituary

GREENSBORO - Michael Conner Corley, 73, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, N.C.

He was born in Lexington, S.C. to the late Doris Elizabeth and Michael Kaminer Corley.

Michael, a former restaurateur and caregiver, was an adventurous soul and fantastic storyteller. Throughout his life, he loved connecting with others over good food and music. Fearless in his younger years, he flew hot air balloons, often over Lake Murray and Lexington County. In his later years, he found happiness in life's simple pleasures—watching his beloved Carolina Gamecocks play on Saturdays; a round of golf; and visiting family.

Michael is survived by his longtime partner, Lauren Danielson of Greensboro, N.C.; daughters, Amy Corley (Joseph Woodley) of Gallatin, TN, and Michelle Ohmart (Eric) of Jackson Hole, Wyo.; grandson, Cypress Ohmart; brother, Mark Corley of Duncan, S.C.; and many loving family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM Friday, November 3, 2023, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Lexington. Memorial donations may be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation in his name.
