Mary “Mae” Frances Cobb

GREENSBORO - Mary Frances Cobb, 74, passed away November 25, 2022 at Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point, NC.

A celebration of life service will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 at 1 p.m. at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, Greensboro, NC. The visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Reverend Patricia Walker from Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Greensboro will preside and Bishop Tyrone Logan, Sr., pastor of White Dove Holiness Church, Inc., Washington, NC will deliver the words of comfort.

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3901 Forest Lawn Drive, Greensboro, NC.

Public viewing will begin on Thursday from 12 until 5 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.

“Mae” as she was affectionately called was born in Guilford County on December 20, 1947 to Cherri Ann Cobb.

She was educated in the local public schools and graduated from James B. Dudley High School.

For the majority of her life, she was a homemaker. In her spare time, she enjoyed arts and crafts. She was an avid gardener and loved fishing, music and dancing.

Survivors include daughter, Sharon Cobb; siblings, Carolyn Cobb (Jerry), Phyllis Cobb and Phillip Cobb (Lilia); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
