Obituary
GREENSBORO – Livia Sue Yourse, 62, passed away April 17, 2023 at Moses Cone Hospital.
A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, April 23, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. at Abundant Life Church International, 560 Farragut Street, Greensboro, NC. The viewing and family visitation will begin at 3 p.m.
Interment will be held in Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 N. O’Henry Blvd., Greensboro, NC.
Public viewing will begin on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 12 until 6 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.
Livia was born in Guilford County, NC on August 6, 1960 to Stanford Yourse and Helen Floyd Yourse.
She was educated in the local public schools and graduated from Grimsley High School and later received her Associates Degree.
For many years she was employed at the U.S. Postal Service and retired after 32 years of service as a Manager of Labor Relations.
Survivors include son, Dejuan Yourse; grandchildren, Deja Yourse, Madison Mountcastle and Mason Gadson; sisters, Janet Lash and Sandra Marshall; brother, Grady Yourse (Betty); special niece, Helen Yourse; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Windy Yourse Kelly.
