GREENVILLE – Linda Faye Flowers, 67, formerly of Greensboro, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC.
She was born in Guilford County, NC on July 11, 1953 to the late Brady Parker and the late Helen Graves Parker.
Linda was educated in the local public schools and graduated from Walter Hines Page High School. She later attended North Carolina A&T State University majoring in Psychology and GTCC where she obtained her cosmetology degree.
She was a member of Garden of Prayer Sovereign Grace Baptist Church.
At one time, she owned and operated Perfection of His Beauty hair salon. Linda loved people and never met a stranger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Bobby Parker, Gary Parker, Fred Parker and Brady Parker.
Survivors include daughters, Thmaysion Wardlaw, Kimberly Wardlaw and Helen Daniels (Johnny); stepsons, Kevin Henry and Herbert Lee Henry, Jr.; brothers, James Parker and Raymond Parker (Sylvia); sisters, Gloria Parker, Deborah Parker, Patricia Harris (Michael), Annette Parker, Shirley Parker and Regina Williams (Theodore); sister-in-law, Helena Henry; grandchildren, Ahmonn Tatum, Ahmadd Tatum, Amarie Jefferies, Quinton Lee, Brennon Horton, Brianna Jefferies, Alexis Robinson, Xavier Robinson and Liam Wardlaw; great-grandchildren, Selena Jefferies, Gabriel Jefferies, Nylah Robinson, Noah Mitchell, Noland Robinson, Nyleaha Robinson, Xavion Estrella, Tobius Estrella, Zymier Estrella, Camilla Robinson, LaLinda Be'asely and Jyasin Dearmon; a host of relatives and friends.
Public viewing will only be held on Friday, February 5th from 12 noon until 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, February 6th from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.
A combined graveside service along with her grandson, (Jyasin Dearmon) will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Piedmont Memorial Cemetery, 2716 McConnell Road, Greensboro, NC. Elder Mark Barrett, pastor of Garden of Prayer Sovereign Grace Baptist Church will deliver the words of comfort.
