GREENSBORO – Lerone Moore, Sr., 86, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Moses Cone Hospital.

Public viewing will begin on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 12 until 6 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 1 p.m. at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, Greensboro, NC.  The family visitation and viewing will begin at 12:30 p.m. Reverend C. Bradley Hunt, III will deliver the words of comfort.

Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 N. O’henry Blvd., Greensboro, NC.

He was born in Kingstree, SC on October 5, 1935 to the late Bennie and Magdalene Scott Moore.

For many years he worked in roofing and installation.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Ruby Moore.

Survivors include spouse, Johnsie Moore; children, Lerone “Chris” Moore, Jr., Jimmie Kelley (Portia), Theodore Kelley, Annette B. Carter (Keith) and Angela Denise Kelley; siblings, Edith Conyers, Dave Moore, James Moore, Audrey Faison, Delane Moore, Mary Moore, Nettie Alston and Mary Richardson; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
