Lady Jennie Renee (Price) McLaughlin

INDIAN LAND, SC – Lady Jennie Renee Price McLaughlin, 91, formerly of Danville, VA passed away Thursday evening, June 8, 2023 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 19, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 399 S. Main Street, Danville, VA. She will lie in repose beginning at 9 a.m. Her beloved son, Reverend Dr. Wesley K. McLaughlin, pastor of Mount Olivet Baptist Church, Petersburg, VA will deliver the words of comfort.

Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park, Danville, VA.

Public viewing will begin on Sunday, June 18, 2023 from 4 until 6 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, Danville, VA.

Mrs. McLaughlin was born in Pittsylvania County, VA on October 10, 1931 to Edward J. Price and Jennie Flippen Price.

She was the wife of Reverend Ernest C. McLaughlin who at one time pastored Mountain Grove Baptist Church, Sweet Gum Grove Baptist Church, Rosebud Baptist Church, Riceville Baptist Church and New Bethel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Curtis McLaughlin and her 10 siblings.

Survivors include her loving children, Brenda McLaughlin Stewart, Donald McLaughlin and Reverend Dr. Wesley K. McLaughlin (First Lady Pamela); grandchildren, Jamie Saye (Bree), Shawn Stewart (Carrie), Natalie Parker (Khalil), Jameson McLaughlin (Phaedra), Curtis McLaughlin, Christopher McLaughlin and Danielle McLaughlin; daughter-in-law, Barbara McLaughlin; 11 great-grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends.
