Konrad LeMack Chavis

McLEANSVILLE – Konrad LeMack Chavis, 66, passed away May 30, 2023 at his residence.

A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at Laughlin Memorial United Methodist Church, 1417 Huffine Mill Road, Greensboro, NC. The family visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Pastor L.  Bernard Florence from St. Thomas Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church will deliver the words of comfort.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing will begin on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 12 until 6 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.

He was born on July 9, 1956 in Guilford County, NC to Mack Chavis and Emma Lee Slade Chavis.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia Smith Chavis; children, Lakesha Chavis Cross (Lashay) and Kouri Chavis; 5 grandchildren, LaShawn Cross, LaKye Cross, LaKayden Cross, Azaria Nuriddin and Kamaree King; siblings, Loleta Chavis, Esther Garrett, Bonita Spears (Dan), Chancelor Chavis (Jessie), Nikita Chavis, Eric Chavis, Boris Chavis (Diane), Leasa Graves (Elvis) and Mack Chavis (Catherine); 1 aunt, Barbara Chavis; a host of relatives and friends.
