Kimberly Lanar White

GREENSBORO – Kimberly Lanar White was born January 13, 1972 in Greensboro, NC. She took her eternal rest surrounded by family in her favorite color pink on January 16, 2023.

A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 2 p.m. at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, Greensboro, NC. The family visitation and viewing will begin at 1:30 p.m. Elder Lisa Little will deliver the words of comfort.

Public viewing will begin of Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 2 until 5 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.

Kimberly is a proud product of James B. Dudley Senior High School and furthered her education at Guilford Technical Community College.

As a Greensboro native, she resided in Greensboro with a career span of over 20 years inclusive of working for Walmart and Proctor & Gamble.

Kimberly was known for her sweet personality and contagious smile. Though Kimberly bore the burden of a challenging disease it did not diminish her personality and style. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and so much more to those who encountered her presence. Kimberly enjoyed reading, playing eGames, social media, and watching the stories.

Kimberly leaves behind her son: Corporal J’mes White; parents: Reverends James and Alice Hairston; siblings: Kenneth White, Kisha Adams, James Hairston, and Kevin Hairston; aunts and uncles: Vera White, Barbara White, Cassandra Parker, Gregory White, Jessie (Patti) Harrison, Leon (Linda) Hairston, Jerome (Linda) Harrison, and Ida Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
