Funeral services will be held Friday, August 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, Greensboro, North Carolina. The family visitation and viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Pastor, Reverend Dr. Cardes H. Brown, Jr., eulogist.

“In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!” (Luke 15:7 - NLT)

On November 8, 1964, Keith Armstrong was born to the late Harvey Lee Armstrong and Sarah Odell Armstrong and was a native of Mount Olive, North Carolina, residing in Charlotte NC. He was the eighth of nine children.

Keith accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a member of The Park Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, Bishop Claude Richard Alexander, Jr. Senior Pastor.

Keith Armstrong was married to the late Kathy Hart Armstrong for four years, in which they had a blended family of five children. Keith was educated within the Wayne County Public School system of Dudley, North Carolina and furthered his education at Wayne Community College of Goldsboro, North Carolina and completed his Independent Electrical/Electronic Professionals degree at Central Piedmont Community College of Charlotte NC. During that time, he also refined his gift and maximized his trade of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and as an entrepreneur ventured into his own personal business for Armstrong Heating and Air, LLC of Charlotte NC. Refrigeration and Conditioning was also a major portion of his business and passion. He worked for several years with Sears Roebuck & Company to further refine his gift for electronics, being recognized with superior service awards. His customers loved and knew him well for the excellent service he provided. He ensured that every operation was done in an excellent manner and treated each client as if they were his only priority.

Keith was a quiet and observant person until being allowed access to his personal space and heart. Guard your heart for out of it flows the issues of life is what he would whisper in personal conversations (Proverbs 4:23). Once allowed into his personal space, those around him were uplifted by his jovial spirit and laughter.

He provided mentorship to young men in the community whether interested in his trade or simply wanting guidance in areas of life. He would often mimic his dad’s words of, “Everything is everything.”

Keith loved life and exploring travel with his late wife Kathy. He took great pride in helping others. He tremendously enjoyed family gatherings, which were sure to provide food. He loved sitting on his patio at his home watching his family and friends having fun while interacting with him and with each other. He knew how to embrace the beauties of life which included: listening to God’s word, words of reflections and gospel music. He loved God’s word and strived daily to keep it hidden in his heart (Psalm 119:11). He was unselfish, caring, and kind hearted.

Keith was loved immensely and will truly be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In addition to all of the aforementioned qualities, he was also a giver. He gave of his time, resources, and money.

He loved setting aside money for those in need. He was moved with compassion when helping anyone in need with as much as he had to give.

He has left a legacy of examples of life for his family, especially his children and grandchildren that they all need to continue to do the will of God. Indeed, he was a blessed man and prayed and hoped to leave a mountain of compassion and agape love to be passed on.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda A. Martin; three brothers, Harvey Gerald, Ivey Lee, and William Lewis Armstrong, Sr.

Keith Armstrong leaves to cherish his memories: five children; Darris Ingram, Sophia Barnett, Kierra Lynn Armstrong, Laronza Hart and Tavaris Ferrell; brother, Jackie Ray Armstrong, Sr.; three sisters, Glenda A. Nicolini (Frank “Nick”), Sara Denise Ward (Gerald “Ward”), and Wanda A. McNair, along with his four grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
