Obituary

GREENSBORO – Johnsie Mae Kelley Moore, 89, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 at her residence.

Public viewing will begin on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 12 until 6 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, Greensboro, NC. The family visitation and viewing will begin at 11 a.m. Reverend C. Bradley Hunt, III will deliver the words of comfort.

Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 N O’henry Blvd., Greensboro, NC.

She was born in Chesterfield, SC on August 30, 1932 to the late John Kelley and Bessie Sellers Kelley.

For many years she worked in the dry-cleaning industry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lerone Moore, Sr.; son, Wayne Kelley; siblings, Arthur Kelley, Johnnie Kelley, Walker Kelley and Nathaniel Kelley.

Survivors include children, Jimmie Kelley (Portia), Theodore Kelley, Annette Carter (Keith), Angela Kelley and Lerone “Chris” Moore, Jr.; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
