Janice Kay Foust

GREENSBORO – Janice Kay Foust, 77, passed away February 18, 2023 at Beacon Place.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, Greensboro, NC. The viewing and family visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Reverend Dr. George G. Harris, pastor of Greater Faith Baptist Church will deliver the words of comfort.

Interment will follow in Proximity Mills Cemetery, 2009 Phillips Avenue, Greensboro, NC.

Public viewing will begin on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 12 until 5 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.

Janice was born in Guilford County, NC on June 9, 1945 to Sgt. William Lindsay and Medria Foust.

She was educated in the local public schools and graduated from James B. Dudley High School.

For many years she served as a Nursing Aide.

She truly loved the Lord. In her spare time, she loved watching Westerns and completing word searches.

Survivors include her son, Reverend Dr. Haile Lindsay (Pamela); sisters, Loretta Foust, Phyllis Foust and Shirley Hughes (James); special and close friend, Alesia Little; grandchildren, Tory Griffin (Dakiya), Tiras Franklin and Tierra Harper; 4 great-grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Harold Foust, Phillip Foust, Nevarro Vaird, Jackie Foust and Alice McNeil.
