James “June” Junior Davis

GREENSBORO - James Junior Davis, 58, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 12 p.m. at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, Greensboro, NC.

Public viewing will only be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 12 until 6 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.

“June” as he was affectionately called was a native of Guilford County, NC to the late James Calvin Tate and the late Margaret Davis.

He was educated in the local public schools and graduated from Walter Hines Page High School. For many years, he worked at Fordham Cleaners and Master Cleaners.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Hernandez; aunt, Carolyn Walls; cousin, Lawrence Lindsay, Jr.

Survivors include children, Enrique Boyd, James Seagraves, Jamie White, Tanika White and Wakeisha White; step-mother, Sonia Hernandez; brother Anthony Tate; sisters, Salena Tate and Judy Edwards; grandchildren, Jayden, Jalen, Skylar, London, Mari, Sahir, Ayden, Daejah and Nyla; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
