James Lawson Ross, III

GREENSBORO - James Lawson Ross, III, 64, passed away November 28, 2023 at his residence.

A celebration of his service will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.

James Lawson Ross, III was born February 1, 1959, in Greensboro, North Carolina, to the union of his parents, James Lawson Ross and Clara Spencer Ross.

He was educated in the Guilford County school system and graduated from Page High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. James was a member of New Light Missionary Baptist Church, and he truly loved the Lord. James was a truck driver for New England Trucking Company for the last few years. He was a brake press operator for many years with Modern Metals in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was a simple man who loved to live a simple life. His smile will be missed by everyone who knew him.

James was preceded in death by his parents. Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife of many years, Bobette Teachey Ross, his son, James Lawson Ross, IV, sister, Gail Hatcher, host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
