Helen Olivia (Epps) Ingram

GREENSBORO - Helen Olivia Epps Ingram, 95, departed this life Wednesday morning, January 3, 2024 at Moses Cone Hospital.

A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 1 p.m. at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, Greensboro, NC. The family visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m.

Interment will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 12 p.m. in R&R Cemetery, 162 Ingram Road, Garysburg, NC.

Helen Olivia Epps Ingram was born to the late Elmo and Isabelle Brickell on August 9, 1928, in Halifax County, North Carolina.

Helen attended Halifax Training School in Weldon, North Carolina and graduated on June 3, 1947.

At an early age she gave her life to Christ. She was baptized, and joined Smith Chapel Baptist Church.
On February 17, 1950, Helen was united in holy matrimony to Haywood Green Ingram, and together they reared five children.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Haywood Green Ingram on February 18, 1995, and two children, Barbara Ann Bumper and David Earl Ingram.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Annie Felder; two sons, George Ingram, and Haywood Ingram Jr.; two sisters, Lucille Davis and Annie Mae Thomas, a host of grand and great-grand children and nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
