GREENSBORO – George Carnes Pierce, Sr., 94, passed away February 23, 2023 at his residence.

A celebration of life service will be held Friday, March 3, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church, 1106 Tuscaloosa Street, Greensboro, NC. The family visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Reverend Dr. Darryl W. Aaron, Senior Pastor will preside and Reverend Dr. Cardes H. Brown, Jr., Pastor of New Light Missionary Baptist Church will deliver the words of comfort. 

Interment with military honors will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3901 Forest Lawn Drive, Greensboro, NC.

Public viewing will begin Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 12 until 5 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Fuller Pierce and his son, Stanley Pierce. He is survived by one son, George Pierce, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
