McLEANSVILLE – Esther Louise Amison Agyeman, 78, passed away March 16, 2023 at her residence.


A celebration of life service will be held Monday, March 20, 2023 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC. The family visitation and viewing will begin at 12:30 p.m. Reverend Dr. Cardes H. Brown, Jr., pastor of New Light Missionary Baptist Church will deliver the words of comfort.


She was born in West Virginia on April 23, 1944 to Craig and Juanita Dobson Amison.


For many years she worked as a hairstylist.


Survivors include children, Ginny Purcell, Bradford Amison and Chico Garland; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, John White, Booker Cooper, Craig Amison and Anna Montgomery.
