Obituary
JACKSONVILLE, FL – Dr. Lisa Maureen Petty, 63, received her wings on Friday, March 11, 2022 after a lengthy illness.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at New Garden Friends Cemetery, 801 New Garden Road, Greensboro, NC.
Lisa was born on September 19, 1958 in New York City, New York to Hester S. Petty and the late Leon E. Petty.
Lisa was educated at Wilmington Friends School in Wilmington, Delaware, Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, Virginia, and Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina where she received her doctorate degree.
Lisa enjoyed art, dogs, reading and traveling; but music was her main interest. She spent a lot of time traveling and was fortunate to visit several countries. Lisa was loved by all the people who encountered her.
In 2019, she was preceded in death by her father Dr. Leon Emandus Petty.
Lisa leaves to cherish her memory, mother, Hester Stephens Petty; sister, Dr. Leonora K. Petty; uncle, Frank Petty; aunt, Patricia Petty, both of Delaware, Alma Stevenson of South Carolina and Marie Strickland of Delaware; bonus families, Jie Zhang, Jian Zhang, Jasmine Zhang, John Zhang and Donald and Laura Owens; a host of other relatives and friends.
