Obituary
GREENSBORO – Doris Gwendolyn Dean Canada, 92, passed away April 28, 2023 at her residence.
A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 11 a.m. at United Institutional Baptist Church, 802 E. Market Street, Greensboro, NC. The viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Pastor Reverend Dr. Johnny R. Freeman will deliver the words of comfort.
Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, 235 Bingham Street, Greensboro, NC.
She was born in Guilford County, NC on March 27, 1931 to Alonzo Avery Dean and Mary Selest Sharpe Dean.
Survivors include son, Ernest Canada Jr.; grandson, Michael Ray Canada Jr.; a host of relatives and friends.
