BROWNS SUMMIT – Derrick McCall, Sr., 65, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021 at his residence.
He was born on July 25, 1956 to James Willie McCall and Mary Kirk McCall.
For many years, he worked in the veneer and furniture industry until retirement.
In his spare time, he enjoyed landscaping and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Willa Howard, Wanda Gail McCall, Mary Morrison, Helen McCall and Robert McCall.
Survivors include spouse, Diann McCall of the home; children, Nidra Ricks (Rashard), Derrick McCall Jr., and Tavian McCall all of Greensboro; siblings, James Willie McCall of Jacksonville, FL, Beulah Alene McCall of Durham and Valerie Criddle Thomas of Greensboro, Betty Thompson of Philadelphia and Retha McCall of New York; grandchildren, Kadijah Wilson, Raiden Ricks, Riley Ricks, Makayla McCall and Arinna McCall; a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 2 p.m. from the New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, Greensboro, NC.
