Jack as he was affectionately called was born on February 4, 1953 to Sallie J. Crosby in Greensboro, NC.  He loved playing golf, watching NASCAR racing, movies and football.  He was an avid Duke fan.  Jack loved the holidays and spending time with his family especially at the homes of his brother and sister.  He especially enjoyed hanging out at his nephew’s automotive dealership and discussing cars with him and the customers.  Jack enjoyed eating the many tasty food dishes his Aunt Mary J. Crosby prepared.  He made a point to call and check on her every day.

Jack was educated in the Guilford County School System.  He attended Laughlin Elementary in Summerfield, NC and graduated from Northwest Guilford High School in Greensboro, NC.  He worked at Sears and was a truck driver for Owen Illinois along with various other trucking companies.

Jack was preceded in death by his mother Sallie J. Crosby; brother, James E. Crosby; sister-in-law, Florence S. Crosby; half-brother, Everett Crosby; grandmother, Blanche M. Crosby; aunt, Jeanette L Smith; uncles, Howard N. Crosby Sr., and Walter Crosby; nephew, Kevin L. Crosby and several other great aunts, uncles and family members.

He is survived by his half-brother, Kenneth L Crosby Sr. (Grace); aunts, Mary C. Morris of Washington, DC and Mary J. Crosby of Greensboro, NC; nephew, Keith Crosby (Gayle) of Greensboro, NC, Shirley Ann Crosby of Fort Washington, Maryland and Roslyn Crosby of Greensboro, NC (both of whom he was raised with and considered his sisters); great nieces, Kristin and Kassidy Crosby of Greensboro, NC; Howard N. Crosby Jr. (Valerie), Alton D. Crosby (Anita) of Greensboro, Dr. Kenneth L Crosby Jr. (Tijuana) of Raleigh, NC, LaToya Crosby of Charlotte, NC, Earl Smith III (Camilla) of Greensboro, NC, Brandon Smith (Amanda) of Atlanta, GA, Davashira Alexander, Rochelle Achoe (Robert) of Camp Springs, Maryland, Cassandra McCoy (Carlton) of Upper Marlboro Maryland, John Morris Jr. (Louvenia) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland and Monique (Artis) of Fort Washington, Maryland.  Although they were cousins, Jack called and considered each his niece and nephew.

He will be missed tremendously by other relatives and dear friends.
