Cynthia Delores (Tarpley) Marsh

BROWNS SUMMIT – Cynthia Delores Tarpley Marsh, 73, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022 at Beacon Place.

Public viewing will begin on Monday, March 14, 2022 from 12 until 6 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC. 

A celebration of life service will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at World Victory Church, 1414 Cliffwood Drive, Greensboro, NC.  The family visitation and viewing will begin at 11 a.m.  Pastor, Bishop Adrian Starks will deliver the words of comfort.

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3901 Forest Lawn Drive, Greensboro, NC.

Cynthia was born on April 1, 1948 to Deroy Tillery Tarpley and Ruth Fannie Horton.

She graduated from James B. Dudley High School.  For many years she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

In her spare-time, she loved traveling to the beach and mountains.  She enjoyed watching the stories and was fond of music and dancing.  Most of all, she loved spending time and providing for her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughters, Yolandas Clapp and Candy F. Clapp; sisters, Renee Means, Gustavia Crosby and Donald Thomas Tarpley.

Survivors include loving children, Robin Tarpley (Martin Davis), Jackie Clapp, Horace L. Clapp and Antoine Chavis Clapp; brother, Horace Warren Tarpley (Ann); sister, Bettine E. Brown; grandchildren, Lamecca Pittman, Brandon Braswell, Camille Grier, Dakota Clapp, Albany P. Jones, Mershant Davis and Latisha D. Williams; 1 great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
