GREENSBORO – Clara Reather Person Marshall, 96, passed away Friday, April 15, 2022 at her residence.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 2 p.m. at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, Greensboro, NC.

Ms. Clara was born in Robbins, NC on October 10, 1925 to Joseph Thomas Person and Sarah Adelaide Ritter.

She attended St. Augustine’s University in Raleigh, NC and received her Master’s Degree from Long Island University, NY. For many years, she worked for the State of New York as a Registered Nurse.

She was a member of Collins Chapel Church, Robbins, NC.

Ms. Clara loved art, gardening and planning the family reunions. She was always interested in bettering the community.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, Stanley Marshall; 8 sisters, Vellia, Claudia, Josephine, Eula, Mildred, Mattie, Evelyn and Bessie; 4 brothers, Earnest, Rufus, Arlie and Clinton.

She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Venice Preston; a host of relatives and friends.
