Carolyn “Kitten” Dick Obituary

GREENSBORO - Carolyn Amelia Dick, affectionately called “Kitten,” passed away at her home on May 27, 2024. She had battled cancer for several years. The road got too rough; so, God called her home to rest.

Public viewing will begin on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 12 until 5 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 4 p.m. at Wadesworth Congregational Church, 1301 Rock Creek Dairy Road, Whitsett, NC. The family visitation will begin ar 3:30 p.m.

Interment will follow in Wadesworth Congregational Church Cemetery. 

Carolyn was born on September 28, 1946, to the late Steve Lavious Dick and Priscilla Louise Fours Dick. Carolyn attended Sedalia School in Sedalia, NC.

Carolyn attended Wadsworth Church in her early years and later years as well. Carolyn was employed at Cone Mills for a while and decided to work in a domestic capacity working with the elderly as a care giver for more than 30 years.

Carolyn was preceded in death by Wesley McCrimmon, the love of her life, and the father of her children; brothers, Andrew, Flavuous, Ernest, and Wilbur; sisters, Clara, and Susan.

Stores the leaves to mourn her death, her children, Janice Marie Dick, Janette Elizabeth Harley, Jeffrey Edward Dick, Sr., Teresa Ann Austin (Victor), Belinda Carol McCrimmon (Tyrone Haizlip) and Wesley Edward McCrimmon, Jr., sisters, Mami, Hattie & Irene (Milford); ten grandchildren, Natasha, April, Latoya, Jeffrey Jr., Brandon, Antonio, Khiana, Tyriek and Promise, seven great- grandchildren, LaTasha, Jaylen, Kamari, Jeremiah, Kali, Londyn, Nathan and Jordyn, and one great-great grandchild, Khalil, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
