GREENSBORO – Carole Anita Carter, 79, passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 at her residence.
She was born on August 9, 1941 in Jamaica Queens, NY to Clyde Woodroffe and Audrey Edmead Woodroffe.
For many years, she was employed with Bank of America as a Mail Specialist.
She was a member of New Light Missionary Baptist church where she attended regularly until her health declined.
In her spare time, she loved reading, watching TV and traveling, especially going to the beach.
Survivors include son, Daren Carter (Barbara); grandchildren, Mayim Carter, Jasmine Carter, Justine Vanstory and Kiara Graham; 7 great-grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends.
Public viewing will begin on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2021 at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, Greensboro, NC. The family visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Reverend Dr. Cardes H. Brown, Jr. will deliver the words of comfort.
