Anita Louise (Watson) Sutton

GREENSBORO – Anita Louise Watson Sutton, 75, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Moses Cone Hospital.

Public viewing will begin on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 12 until 5 p.m. in the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11 a.m. at East White Oak Baptist Church, 1815 Water Street, Greensboro, NC.  The family visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m.  Bishop B.W. Mittman will deliver the eulogy.

Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Cemetery.

She was born in Guilford County, NC on August 9, 1946 to Floyd McDaniel and Mary Watson.

For the majority of her life, she was a homemaker.  She enjoyed listening to music, watching tv and working out until her health declined.

She was a member of East White Oak Baptist Church, Greensboro.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Watson; uncle, Lester Walls.

Survivors include daughters, Sandra Sutton and Faye McLaughlin (William); sons, Dwight Sutton and David Sutton, Jr.; grandchildren, Chris Ruff, Makayla McLaughlin, Ambriya Sutton, David Sutton, III, Santina Sutton and Tia Sutton; great-grandchildren, Logan Sutton and Kenzley Sutton; sister, Lucille Ross (James); nieces, Shawna Ross and Heather Ross; nephew, James Ross; former spouse and father of her children, David Sutton, Sr.; a host of relatives and friends.
