ELON – James Christopher Foust, 38, passed away June 14, 2020 at Moses Cone Hospital.

Chris as he was affectionately called was born in Guilford County on September 15, 1981 to Jacob Brown and Deborah Jean Foust Brown.

He was employed as a cook at Buffalo Wild Wings.

In his spare time, he loved making beats and listening to music.  Chris was family oriented and enjoyed spending time with his family and his nephew.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Hollice Nicole Foust Korner who passed away in 2016.

Survivors include parents, Jacob and Deborah Brown; nephew, Ryan Korner; cousin, Wayn Brown Jr.; special grandmother, Mary Dick; special aunt, Gail Brown (Wayn Sr.); special uncles, Howard Dick and Lonnie Dick; other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will begin on Saturday, June 20, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 1024 Homeland Avenue, Greensboro, NC.

A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 21, 2020 at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, Greensboro, NC.  The family visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m.  Reverend Otto A. Burston, Sr., pastor of Wadsworth Congregational Church will deliver the eulogy. 

Interment will follow in Wadsworth Congregational Church Cemetery, 1301 Rock Creek Dairy Road, Whitsett, NC.
