SEDALIA – Vaughn Delemon Echols, Sr., 77, passed away February 23, 2020 at his residence.

He was born to the late Percy Echols and Jessie Snipes Echols.

He was a native of Guilford County, NC, where he was educated in the public schools’ system.

He formerly served as a Foreman with the Agricultural Department at North Carolina A&T State University.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Echols; five caring children, Vaughn D. Echols, Jr., Vernon Echols, Yvonne Fuller (Ben); Lynn T. Echols and Sheketia D. Echols; siblings, Maurice Echols, Fred Echols, Vivian Hill, Wanda Benton, Beverly Williams and Shelia Smith; a host of relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Percy Echols, Jr., Bobby Echols, Clyde M. Echols, Willie R. Echols and Michael Echols.

Public viewing will begin Sunday, March 1, 2020 from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A celebration of life will be held 12 noon, Monday, March 2, 2020 at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, Greensboro, NC.  The family visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m.  Reverend Dr. Cardes H. Brown Jr., will deliver the eulogy.
