SUMMERFIELD – Brian-Dean Martin Pemberton, 36, passed away September 1, 2019.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 16, 1983 to Alwyn Pemberton and Caroline Pemberton.

He graduated from Northwest Guilford High School, class of 2001 and later attended Guilford Technical Community College.

He was a professional poker player and often traveled around the country.  Brian was a lover of all sports, with the Carolina Tarheels being his favorite basketball team.

Survivors include devoted mother, Caroline Pemberton; caring father, Alwyn Pemberton; loving siblings, Brandon Pemberton, Brianna Tate, Alwyn Richards, Leon Bills and Tiffany Page-Pemberton; maternal grandmother, Jean Tucker; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Pemberton; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Public viewing will begin on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2019 at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Raod, Greensboro, NC.  The family visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m.  Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3901 Forest Lawn Drive, Greensboro, NC.

Caroline: Our hearts bleed for you! There is no greater loss than a child. We lost our son in 2006 and I'm sorry to say, the pain has never and will never go away. And it shouldn't. We are very sorry for your loss.
