GREENSBORO – Leisa Mary Donna Young, 62, passed away July 15, 2019 at Moses Cone Hospital.

A native of Queens, New York, she was born on July 12, 1957 to the late George Brannon and Lea Green Brannon.

She graduated from John Bound High School in Flushing, NY.  She later pursued a career in nursing and was employed as a nursing assistant at St. Gales Manor.  In her spare time, she enjoyed collecting action figures.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sonya Norman.

Survivors include daughters, Sintora Brannon, Dawn Young-Parks (Jamaine) and Christina Young; sister, Ann Brannon; brother-in-law’s, Kyle Young, Mark A. Young (Eileen), Edward S. Young, Sr., and Vincent Martin; sister-in-law’s, Ethel Truit and Gilda Young-Darden; nine grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will begin on Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2019 at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, Greensboro, NC.  The family visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m.
