GREENSBORO - Christopher Antonio Wooten, 37, passed away April 3, 2019.  

He was born February 13, 1982 to Willie Cobbs and Adrienne Wooten.  Educated in Guilford County Schools, he graduated from Grimsley High School, class of 2000.

Chris as he was affectionately called enjoyed being around his family.  He enjoyed rap music and writing lyrics.  Tupac Shakur was one of his favorite artist.  He also loved baseball.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Oscar Wooten and a paternal grandmother Louise McKinnon.

Survivors include daughter, Aalyah Shoffnor; father, Willie Cobbs (Trina Hooker); mother Councilwoman Adrienne Wooten (Avram D. White esq.); brothers, Victor Wooten and Domique Crouch; sister, Andrea Crouch (Samuel Stewart); maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Wooten; aunts, Sharon Wooten, Melissa Wooten-Carter (Elder Jacque Carter); uncle, Lavern Cobbs; nieces, Elise V. Jackson, Sayalyinn Brown, Kristina Montague and Latoya Elliott (Derrick Brown); nephew, Kojiri Brown; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 7, 2019 at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road.  The visitatioin will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by the service at 3:00 p.m.  Bishop Timothy L. Warren will deliver the eulogy and interment will follow at Piedmont Memorial Cemetery on McConnell Road.
